The Lyme Regis Majorettes is a local voluntary run organisation, which was formed over 25 years ago. Over this period of time they have gained a reputation as one of the best troupes in the area. Our main aims are to develop young people and teach them valuable dance skills, improve their self confidence, making sure they have fun and enjoyment when training to become a Majorette. Dear Everyone, Just to say a really big Thank You to everyone who bought and sold Duck Race Tickets, gave bottles for the Tombola and came and supported us both at the Fete & The Duck Race. A great BIG Thank You to all those people! We raised £441.10p at the fete with our Cream Teas & Bottle Tombola. My very grateful thanks to both Karen & Clinton Flux without whom I could not have managed, they were stars. Also to my daughter Holly who ran the Bottle Tombola and sold £35 Duck Tickets. The Duck race was phenomenal, we sold all the 1,000 tickets + £50 from guessing the time of the last Duck Home. An extra £50 that my husband Alan got as a donation from The Lyme Regis Football Club. All the prize money and ticket money was obtained from sponsorship so we have done very well this weekend. The Lifeboat members, Gary Gibbs, Lance Taylor, John Bird & Martin Croad did us proud in the river, we are most grateful. To all of you who did so much to make this a resounding success, once again MANY THANKS. We have now covered the cost of transport but need to continue Fund raising to buy new equipment e.g. maces & batons plus the never ending cost of uniforms etc. On wards and upwards, thanks to all who did so much to help your continuing support means we can support the girls in many extra ways and make this troupe a real success story. Thank you so much. Cheryl (Reynolds) Fund Raiser for Lyme Regis Majorettes. |
